Rooted in the low-end and raised on the groove, MacinJosh brings a musician’s soul to the electronic underground. His journey didn’t start behind a laptop. It started with a bass guitar in hand, anchoring gospel and rock bands with the kind of rhythmic discipline that can’t be taught, only felt.

That obsession with the “pocket” led him to the crates. Since 2014, Josh has been a dedicated vinyl collector and student of the groove, transitioning from a seasoned selector for private circles to a driving force in the New England club scene. His sound is a deliberate bridge between the soul of his roots and energy of modern dance floors.

As a resident with the Reload collective and a frequent presence at BSMNT Boston, MacinJosh has earned a reputation for having an elite ear for track selection and an absolute weapon of a USB. Whether he’s digging for 90s warehouse Tech Trance white labels or weaving together deep, driving house sets, his performance is always dictated by one goal: The physical, undeniable connection between the bassline and the dancers.
